Michael D. Banov, MD

Michael D. Banov, M.D. is a noted Psychiatric Doctor with a career spanning over five hospitals and two decades. His training at Emory, Duke and Harvard have propelled his career into specialized and specific qualifications in psychiatry and mental health practices.

 

He has held esteemed titles in medicine including Chief, Department of Psychiatry at Kennestone Hospital, Director of Medical Education at Ridgeview Institute and Physician Advisory Board at the Skyland Trail Mental Health Treatment Center. Additional to his training, he has achieved board certifications in Addiction Psychiatry, American Board of Adolescent Psychiatry, American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Certified Clinical Research Investigator (CCRI) by the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP).

 

Michael currently uses his skills as the Medical Director at Northwest Behavioral Research Center in Adolescent, Adult and Geriatric Psychiatry. He also has a passion for teaching others and uses his time as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Department of Psychiatry at the Medical College of Georgia. Additionally, he serves as Medical Director and President of Psychsource, LLC, a not-for-profit organization committed to providing mental health resource information to the community. Finally, Michael is an esteemed member of the Advisory Board for PharmaCentra, LLC.
